To help stop the anti-life push, the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen of New York encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by praying that one particular but unknown child's life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to live. To help accomplish this, it is recommended that an individual say the following daily prayer:

'예수님, 마리아님, 그리고 요셉님이여, 나는 당신들을 매우 사랑 합니다. 제가 당신들께 간청하오니, 제가 낙태의 위험에 빠져있는 아이를 영적으로 입양하오니 태어나지 않은 아기들의 목숨을 지켜주소서!'

"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion."

이 세상에서 사는 동안 당신이 영적으로 입양한 아이는 오직 하느님만 알고 계시나, 살아가는 동안에 너의 기도를 통해 낙태에서 면한 아이들을 만나고, 그들과 함께 불멸의 행복을 누리기를 바란다.

During your earthly life this spiritually adopted child of yours will be known only to God but in the world to come it is hoped that you will meet the child whose life was spared by your prayers and spend eternal happiness with them.
