가톨릭 교회 교리서 662 “나는 땅에서 들어 올려지면 모든 사람을 나에게 이끌어 들일 것이다”(요한 12,32). 십자가 위에 높이 들림은 승천으로 하늘에 높이 오름을 의미하고 예고한다. 십자가는 승천의 시작이다. 새롭고 영원한 계약의 유일한 사제이신 예수 그리스도께서는 “사람 손으로 만든 성소에 들어가지 않으셨습니다. 이제 우리를 위하여 하느님 앞에 나타나시려고 바로 하늘에 들어가신 것입니다”(히브 9,24). 그리스도께서는 하늘에서 당신의 사제직을 영원히 수행하고 계신다. 그분은 “당신을 통하여 하느님께 나아가는 사람들을 언제나 구원하실 수 있으시다. 그분께서는 늘 살아 계시어 그들을 위하여 빌어 주신다”(히브 7,25). “좋은 것들을 주관하시는 대사제”(히브 9,11)이신 그리스도께서는 하늘에서 하느님 아버지를 경배하는 전례의 중심이며 주재자이시다. 묵시 4,6-11 참조.

Catechism of the Catholic Church 662 "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."Jn 12:32. The lifting up of Jesus on the cross signifies and announces his lifting up by his Ascension into heaven, and indeed begins it. Jesus Christ, the one priest of the new and eternal Covenant, "entered, not into a sanctuary made by human hands. . . but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf."Heb 9:24. There Christ permanently exercises his priesthood, for he "always lives to make intercession" for "those who draw near to God through him".Heb 7:25. As "high priest of the good things to come" he is the center and the principal actor of the liturgy that honors the Father in heaven.Heb 9:11; cf. Rev 4:6-11.

본기도 전능하신 하느님, 성자 그리스도의 승천으로 저희를 들어 높이셨으니 저희가 거룩한 기쁨에 가득 차 감사의 제사를 바치며 머리이신 그리스도께서 영광스럽게 올라가신 하늘 나라에 그 지체인 저희의 희망을 두게 하소서. 성부와 성령과 함께 천주로서 영원히 살아 계시며 다스리시는 성자 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다. 또는 전능하신 하느님, 저희 구세주이신 외아드님께서 오늘 하늘로 오르셨음을 굳게 믿사오니 저희가 하늘에서 아드님과 함께 길이 살게 하소서. 성자께서는 성부와 성령과 함께 천주로서 영원히 살아 계시며 다스리시나이다.

First Reading : Acts 1:1-11 In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

Gospel : Mt 28:16-20 The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

예물 기도 주님, 오늘 성자의 영광스러운 승천을 기념하여 저희가 봉헌하는 이 제사를 받아들이시고 이 거룩한 교환의 신비로 저희도 성자와 함께 하늘로 오르게 하소서. 우리 주 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Prayer over the Offerings We offer sacrifice now in supplication, O Lord, to honor the wondrous Ascension of your Son: grant, we pray, that through this most holy exchange we, too, may rise up to the heavenly realms. Through Christ our Lord.

Prayer After Communion Almighty ever-living God, who allow those on earth to celebrate divine mysteries, grant, we pray, that Christian hope may draw us onward to where our nature is united with you. Through Christ our Lord.
