가톨릭 교회 교리서 881 주님께서는 당신이 베드로라는 이름을 주신 시몬 한 사람을 당신 교회의 반석으로 삼으셨다. 주님께서는 그에게 교회의 열쇠를 맡기셨으며,[마태 16,18-19 참조] 그를 당신의 온 양 떼의 목자로 세우셨다.[요한 21,15-17 참조] 그런데 “베드로에게 주어진 매고 푸는 저 임무는 그 단장과 결합되어 있는 사도단에게도 부여되어 있음이 분명하다.”[교회 헌장, 22항] 베드로와 다른 사도들의 이러한 사목 임무는 교회의 기초에 속하는 것이다. 이 임무는 교황의 수위권 아래서 주교들을 통하여 계속되고 있다.

Catechism of the Catholic Church 881 The Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the "rock" of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock. Cf. Mt 16:18-19; Jn 21:15-17. "The office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the college of apostles united to its head." LG 22 § 2. This pastoral office of Peter and the other apostles belongs to the Church's very foundation and is continued by the bishops under the primacy of the Pope.

본기도 하느님, 신자들을 한마음 한뜻이 되게 하시어 저희가 하느님의 가르침을 사랑하고 그 약속을 갈망하며 모든 것이 변하는 이 세상에서도 참기쁨이 있는 곳에 마음을 두게 하소서. 성부와 성령과 함께 천주로서 영원히 살아 계시며 다스리시는 성자 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Collect O God, who cause the minds of the faithful to unite in a single purpose, grant your people to love what you command and to desire what you promise, that, amid the uncertainties of this world, our hearts may be fixed on that place where true gladness is found. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

제1독서 : 이사야서 : 22,19-23 주님께서 궁궐의 시종장 세브나에게 이렇게 말씀하신다. 19 “나는 너를 네 자리에서 내쫓고, 너를 네 관직에서 끌어내리리라. 20 그날에 이러한 일이 일어나리라. 나는 힐키야의 아들인 나의 종 엘야킴을 불러 21 그에게 너의 관복을 입히고 그에게 너의 띠를 매어 주며 그의 손에 너의 권력을 넘겨주리라. 그러면 그는 예루살렘 주민들과 유다 집안의 아버지가 되리라. 22 나는 다윗 집안의 열쇠를 그의 어깨에 메어 주리니 그가 열면 닫을 사람이 없고, 그가 닫으면 열 사람이 없으리라. 23 나는 그를 말뚝처럼 단단한 곳에 박으리니 그는 자기 집안에 영광의 왕좌가 되리라.”

First Reading : Is 22:19-23 Thus says the LORD to Shebna, master of the palace: "I will thrust you from your office and pull you down from your station. On that day I will summon my servant Eliakim, son of Hilkiah; I will clothe him with your robe, and gird him with your sash, and give over to him your authority. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. I will place the key of the House of David on Eliakim's shoulder; when he opens, no one shall shut, when he shuts, no one shall open. I will fix him like a peg in a sure spot, to be a place of honor for his family."

제2독서 : 사도 바오로의 로마서 11,33-36 33 오! 하느님의 풍요와 지혜와 지식은 정녕 깊습니다. 그분의 판단은 얼마나 헤아리기 어렵고 그분의 길은 얼마나 알아내기 어렵습니까? 34 “누가 주님의 생각을 안 적이 있습니까? 아니면 누가 그분의 조언자가 된 적이 있습니까? 35 아니면 누가 그분께 무엇을 드린 적이 있어 그분의 보답을 받을 일이 있겠습니까?” 36 과연 만물이 그분에게서 나와, 그분을 통하여 그분을 향하여 나아갑니다. 그분께 영원토록 영광이 있기를 빕니다. 아멘.

Second Reading : Rom 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unsearchable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been his counselor? Or who has given the Lord anything that he may be repaid? For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

복음 : 마태오 16,13-20 13 예수님께서 카이사리아 필리피 지방에 다다르시자 제자들에게, “사람의 아들을 누구라고들 하느냐?” 하고 물으셨다. 14 제자들이 대답하였다. “세례자 요한이라고 합니다. 그러나 어떤 이들은 엘리야라 하고, 또 어떤 이들은 예레미야나 예언자 가운데 한 분이라고 합니다.” 15 예수님께서 “그러면 너희는 나를 누구라고 하느냐?” 하고 물으시자, 16 시몬 베드로가 “스승님은 살아 계신 하느님의 아드님 그리스도이십니다.” 하고 대답하였다. 17 그러자 예수님께서 그에게 이르셨다. “시몬 바르요나야, 너는 행복하다! 살과 피가 아니라 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서 그것을 너에게 알려 주셨기 때문이다. 18 나 또한 너에게 말한다. 너는 베드로이다. 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세울 터인즉, 저승의 세력도 그것을 이기지 못할 것이다. 19 또 나는 너에게 하늘 나라의 열쇠를 주겠다. 그러니 네가 무엇이든지 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이고, 네가 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀릴 것이다.” 20 그런 다음 제자들에게, 당신이 그리스도라는 것을 아무에게도 말하지 말라고 분부하셨다.

Gospel : Mt 16:13-20 Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.

예물 기도 주님, 그리스도께서 바치신 단 한 번의 제사로 저희를 자녀로 삼으셨으니 저희에게 자비를 베푸시어 주님의 교회에 일치와 평화의 선물을 내려 주소서. 우리 주 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Prayer over the Offerings O Lord, who gained for yourself a people by adoption through the one sacrifice offered once for all, bestow graciously on us, we pray, the gifts of unity and peace in your Church. Through Christ our Lord.

영성체송 : 시편 104(103),13-15 참조 주님, 땅은 당신이 내신 열매로 가득하옵니다. 당신은 땅에서 양식을 거두게 하시고, 인간의 마음 흥겹게 하는 술을 주시나이다. 또는 요한 6,54 참조 주님이 말씀하신다. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 영원한 생명을 얻는다. 내가 마지막 날에 그를 다시 살리리라.

Communion Antiphon : Cf. Ps 104(103): 13-15 The earth is replete with the fruits of your work, O Lord; you bring forth bread from the earth and wine to cheer the heart. or Jn 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, says the Lord, and I will raise him up on the last day.

영성체 후 기도 주님, 이 성찬례로 충만한 구원을 이루시니 저희가 주님의 자비로 치유를 받고 힘을 얻어 모든 일에서 주님의 기쁨이 되게 하소서. 우리 주 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Prayer After Communion Complete within us, O Lord, we pray, the healing work of your mercy and graciously perfect and sustain us, so that in all things we may please you. Through Christ our Lord.
