가톨릭 교회 교리서 165 그럴 때 우리는 신앙의 증인들, 곧 “희망이 없어도 희망하며”(로마 4,18) 믿은 아브라함, “신앙의 나그넷길에서”[교회 헌장, 58항] 당신 아드님의 수난과 그 무덤의 어둠을 함께함으로써[요한 바오로 2세, 회칙 「구세주의 어머니」, 18항: AAS 79(1987), 382-383면 참조] “신앙의 어두운 밤”[요한 바오로 2세, 회칙 「구세주의 어머니」, 17항: AAS 79(1987), 381면]에까지 도달하였던 동정 마리아와 그 외의 많은 신앙의 증인들을 바라보아야 한다. “이렇게 많은 증인들이 우리를 구름처럼 에워싸고 있으니, 우리도 온갖 짐과 그토록 쉽게 달라붙는 죄를 벗어 버리고, 우리가 달려야 할 길을 꾸준히 달려갑시다. 그러면서 우리의 믿음의 영도자이시며 완성자이신 예수님을 바라봅시다”(히브 12,1-2).

본기도 주님, 저희를 한결같이 사랑하시고 끊임없이 보살피시니 저희가 주님의 거룩하신 이름을 두려워하며 언제나 사랑하게 하소서. 성부와 성령과 함께 천주로서 영원히 살아 계시며 다스리시는 성자 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Collect Grant, O Lord, that we may always revere and love your holy name, for you never deprive of your guidance those you set firm on the foundation of your love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

제1독서 : 예레미야서 20,10-13 예레미야가 말하였다. 10 “군중이 수군대는 소리가 들립니다. ‘저기 마고르 미싸빕이 지나간다! 그를 고발하여라. 우리도 그를 고발하겠다.’ 가까운 친구들마저 모두 제가 쓰러지기만 기다리고 있습니다. ‘그가 속아 넘어가고 우리가 그보다 우세하여 그에게 복수할 수 있을지도 모른다.’ 11 그러나 주님께서 힘센 용사처럼 제 곁에 계시니 저를 박해하는 자들이 비틀거리고 우세하지 못하리이다. 그들은 성공하지 못하여 크게 부끄러운 일을 당하고 그들의 수치는 영원히 잊히지 않으리이다. 12 의로운 이를 시험하시고 마음과 속을 꿰뚫어 보시는 만군의 주님 당신께 제 송사를 맡겨 드렸으니 당신께서 저들에게 복수하시는 것을 보게 해 주소서. 13 주님께 노래 불러라! 주님을 찬양하여라! 그분께서 가난한 이들의 목숨을 악인들의 손에서 건지셨다.”

First Reading : Jer 20:10-13 Jeremiah said: "I hear the whisperings of many: 'Terror on every side! Denounce! let us denounce him!' All those who were my friends are on the watch for any misstep of mine. 'Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail, and take our vengeance on him.' But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion: my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph. In their failure they will be put to utter shame, to lasting, unforgettable confusion. O LORD of hosts, you who test the just, who probe mind and heart, let me witness the vengeance you take on them, for to you I have entrusted my cause. Sing to the LORD, praise the LORD, for he has rescued the life of the poor from the power of the wicked!"

제2독서 : 사도 바오로의 로마서 5,12-15 형제 여러분, 12 한 사람을 통하여 죄가 세상에 들어왔고 죄를 통하여 죽음이 들어왔듯이, 또한 이렇게 모두 죄를 지었으므로 모든 사람에게 죽음이 미치게 되었습니다. 13 사실 율법이 있기 전에도 세상에 죄가 있었지만, 율법이 없어서 죄가 죄로 헤아려지지 않았습니다. 14 그러나 아담부터 모세까지는, 아담의 범죄와 같은 방식으로 죄를 짓지 않은 자들까지도 죽음이 지배하였습니다. 아담은 장차 오실 분의 예형입니다. 15 그렇지만 은사의 경우는 범죄의 경우와 다릅니다. 사실 그 한 사람의 범죄로 많은 사람이 죽었지만, 하느님의 은총과 예수 그리스도 한 사람의 은혜로운 선물은 많은 사람에게 충만히 내렸습니다.

Second Reading : Rom 5:12-15 Brothers and sisters: Through one man sin entered the world, and through sin, death, and thus death came to all men, inasmuch as all sinned— for up to the time of the law, sin was in the world, though sin is not accounted when there is no law. But death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin after the pattern of the trespass of Adam, who is the type of the one who was to come. But the gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ overflow for the many.

복음 : 마태오 10,26-33 그때에 예수님께서 사도들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희는 사람들을 26 두려워하지 마라. 숨겨진 것은 드러나기 마련이고 감추어진 것은 알려지기 마련이다. 27 내가 너희에게 어두운 데에서 말하는 것을 너희는 밝은 데에서 말하여라. 너희가 귓속말로 들은 것을 지붕 위에서 선포하여라. 28 육신은 죽여도 영혼은 죽이지 못하는 자들을 두려워하지 마라. 오히려 영혼도 육신도 지옥에서 멸망시키실 수 있는 분을 두려워하여라. 29 참새 두 마리가 한 닢에 팔리지 않느냐? 그러나 그 가운데 한 마리도 너희 아버지의 허락 없이는 땅에 떨어지지 않는다. 30 그분께서는 너희의 머리카락까지 다 세어 두셨다. 31 그러니 두려워하지 마라. 너희는 수많은 참새보다 더 귀하다. 32 그러므로 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 안다고 증언하면, 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 안다고 증언할 것이다. 33 그러나 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 모른다고 하면, 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 모른다고 할 것이다.”

Gospel : Mt 10:26-33 Jesus said to the Twelve: "Fear no one. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father."

예물 기도 주님, 화해와 찬미의 제물을 받으시고 저희가 이 제사의 힘으로 깨끗해져 사랑과 기쁨으로 주님을 섬기게 하소서. 우리 주 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Prayer over the Offerings Receive, O Lord, the sacrifice of conciliation and praise and grant that, cleansed by its action, we may make offering of a heart pleasing to you. Through Christ our Lord.

영성체 후 기도 인자하신 주님, 그리스도의 몸과 피로 저희를 새사람이 되게 하셨으니 저희가 거행하는 이 성사로 완전한 구원을 얻게 하소서. 우리 주 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.

Prayer After Communion Renewed and nourished by the Sacred Body and Precious Blood of your Son, we ask of your mercy, O Lord, that what we celebrate with constant devotion may be our sure pledge of redemption. Through Christ our Lord.
