1. What does it actually mean in your life today that Jesus come to set the earth on fire? What is this fire that he wants to bring to your life?
2. Jesus wants to break our hypocritical relationships to give us true peace. We prefer comfortable, but false, relationships to authentic ones. Why? Are you willing to accept the destruction of your world of bourgeois relationships to let yourself be transformed by the love of Christ who calls you to love your neighbor by giving your life for him?
Lk 12:49-53 Jesus said to his disciples: "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
