5th Sunday of Easter, Year C | Dominica V (Quinta) Paschæ, Anno C 【NOVUS ORDO SERMON】

Sunday 15 May 2022 in the year of our Lord

1. The Lord invites us to love one another. What does love mean for you concretely today? Who is your neighbor that God is calling you to love?

2. Jesus says that he give us a new commandment. Why this commandment is new? How our love is different from this new form of love that Jesus wants to give us?

3. What does it mean that the Son of Man is glorified? What relation this glorification of Christ has with your life?

When Judas had left them, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and God will glorify him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” 31Ὅτε οὖν ἐξῆλθεν, λέγει Ἰησοῦς· νῦν ἐδοξάσθη ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῷ· 32[εἰ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῷ], καὶ ὁ θεὸς δοξάσει αὐτὸν ἐν αὐτῷ, καὶ εὐθὺς δοξάσει αὐτόν.
